Macadam Plaque, Kilquane Church. An old gravemarker in Kilquane Church. The inscription reads: "Here lieth the body of Philip Macadam deceased Jun 24 1729 aged 33 by whose derec on this tomb was erected in memory of his father Philip Macadam deceased Novr 26 1700 and his mother Elenor deceased Jun 8 1708." The elder Macadam allegedly pointed out to the Williamite army where they could ford the River Shannon to attack Limerick City.
