Peter Scanlan, Detroit. Peter Scanlan (1859 - 1929) was born in Garraunboy and emigrated to Detroit where he died in 1929. Peter was the son of Peter Scanlan and Anne (née Scanlan) and was a brother of Fr. Michael Scanlan P.P. Scariff.

Dr John Brendan Scanlan. Dr John Brendan Scanlan (born New York 1919 - died Tenafly, New Jersey 1993). John was the son of Stephen Scanlan and his wife, May née McMahon of Feakle. Stephen emigrated from Garraunboy to the U.S. in 1904 and settled in New York.

Jeremiah Scanlan was born in 1873 in Killaloe, the son of John Scanlan and his wife, Sarah (née Smyth) from Ballygreen. He married Nellie (née Dennin), from County Westmeath and died in 1914 of pneumonia caught while fighting a fire in the freezing cold. All Jeremiah's children were born in the USA.

Dominick & Anne Stuart. Dominick Stuart and his wife Anne (née Kelly). Dominick was born in 1855 and was the son of Dominck Stuart and his wife, Anne Scanlan. Dominick and Anne had a total of 14 children.
Dominick Stuart. Dominick Stuart, son of Dominick & Anne Kelly Stuart of Ballybroughan, Ogonnelloe. Dominick was born in 1899 and died in Queensland, Australia in 1985.
Dr Stuart Park, Ogonnelloe. The commemoration plaque in Dr Stuart Park in Ogonnelloe. Dr Joe Stuart (1904 -1980) was the son of Dominick Stuart and Anne Kelly Stuart. Joe Stuart was President of the GAA from 1958-1961.
Garraunboy Church. Garraunboy Catholic Church. The foundation stone was blessed by Bishop Michael Fogarty on 27 June 1909. Garraunboy Church was built of local sandstone and roofed with Killaloe-Ballina slates. The contractor was William Davoren, Ogonelloe and the Clerk of Works was John Scanlan of Criabh Ruadh (Creeveroe). On 18 December 1909, the feast of St. Flannan, the new church was blessed and dedicated to the Sacred Heart. The new Church of the Sacred Heart & St. Lua was opened to public worship on Saturday, 25th December 1909.
George Hackman Headstone. The headstone of George Hackman in Garraunboy Graveyard. The inscription reads:
'Sacred to the memory of George Hackman (Lewie). For 38 years a valued & faithful friend of Mr & Mrs. Scanlan of Gortmagee by whom this stone was erected. He died February 5 1932 aged 75 years. Sweet Jesus give him eternal rest.' A man of short stature, George was born in Belfast and worked for a circus. Once, when the circus was in Killaloe it left town without him. He was wandering around the town for a few days and Bridget Scanlan took him in as a servant to help with the housework. Bridget's daughter-in-law, Margaret, had him baptized when he became an old man and when he died in he was laid to rest in Garraunboy.
Margaret Hogan Scanlan. Margaret Scanlan née Hogan , born c. 1832 in Ardcrony, Co. Tipperary, died 23 February 1898. Margaret married John Scanlan of Garranboy House, Killaloe.
John Scanlan. John Scanlan of Garranboy House, Killaloe, born c. 1806, died 29 November 1895. John married Maragret Hogan from Ardcrony, Co. Tipperary.
Thomas Scanlan Grave. The grave of Thomas Scanlan in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Chicago, USA. Thomas Scanlan was born 1 July 1866 in Garraunboy, Killaloe and died 6 October 1962 in San Pierre, Indiana. Thomas was the son of Patrick Scanlan and Mary Scanlan (née Hogan) of Hill House, Garraunboy and brother of Fr Paddy Scanlan. After emigrating to the USA he settled in Chicago, became a member of the Chicago Police Department and married Mary Nash from Scariff. They had four children: Rev. Gerald P. Scanlan, Lillian, Francis and Michael.
Window, St Flannan’s Church, Killaloe. A stained glass window by Harry Clarke in St Flannan’s Church, Killaloe. The window was donated by Josephine Scanlan in memory of her mother-in-law, Eliza Scanlan and Eliza's son Michael, Josephine's husband. The inscription reads: To the glory of God, in memory of Eliza Scanlan who died 21st. May, 1925, and her son Michael who died 21st. January, 1923. R.I.P. Pray for the donor Josephine Scanlan.
Fr Patrick Scanlan Headstone, Mullagh Church Graveyard. The inscription reads: 'In loving memory of Rev Patrick J Scanlan, PP Kilmurry Ibrickane, died June 2nd 1932. R.I.P.' Fr Scanlan (1866-1932) came from Garraunboy House, Killaloe and was Parish Priest of Kilmurry-Ibrickane.
